Incommunities

Incommunities’ longstanding relationship with Grosvenor Leasing continues to flourish.

Incommunities is one of the largest social housing providers in the UK, formed in 2003 after a stock transfer from Bradford Council. Its main business is to provide and maintain affordable high quality housing for its neighbourhoods, investing over £400 million in modernising customer homes and building over 700 homes for rent, shared ownership and outright sale.

With a turnover of over £100 million and around 1200 staff, Incommunities aims to create another 1000 homes across Bradford and Kirklees in the next five years.

With 400 bespoke light commercial vehicles operated under a full maintenance contract hire agreement, the vehicle fleet is of paramount importance in meeting the housing association’s service commitments.

For emergency call-outs, scheduled property maintenance and other essential visits, its vital to have a fleet that’s fit for purpose, well-supported and suffers minimal downtime.

For 13 years Grosvenor Leasing has been supporting Incommunities with its vehicle fleet, and according to David Turner, who is moving on from his longstanding role as logistics and performance manager, the partnership with Grosvenor has been a continuing success story.

“Grosvenor Leasing has been instrumental in working with both us and our chosen vehicle manufacturer on our detailed vehicle requirements including a range of adaptations that meet our specific business needs.

“As I move onto a new opportunity personally I’m handing over to my successor, Paul Egan, safe in the knowledge that he too will enjoy the continued excellent customer service and value for money that Grosvenor has always provided.

“Our vehicle fleet contract remains key in enabling us to meet our customer promises in delivering both an effective and efficient repairs and maintenance service, as well as a homes’ modernisation service, and the team at Grosvenor Leasing has been pivotal in helping us meet our vital KPIs and SLAs through an efficient and mobile fleet.”

Paul Egan, the incoming fleet manager, added, “It’s very reassuring to be inheriting a well-run fleet with such a professional leasing and fleet management partner.

“The demands of running a social housing fleet are huge, especially as these are adapted, equipped vehicles which means any downtime is both costly and means we can’t service our customers as efficiently if they are off the road. By working with Grosvenor, we can continue to keep our vehicle off road time to a minimum and enjoy an efficient and well-managed fleet.”

Mary Dopson-Taylor concluded, “We’re very proud to be working with Incommunities and will continue to add value by supporting their fleet and making ongoing recommendations for improvement.”
