Upgraded driver App offers far reaching benefits

The Grosvenor Group’s in-house software development team has launched the latest upgrade to the company’s driver App, which is offered as a complimentary, no-cost service for all customers and their drivers.

New enhancements include a benefit in kind (BIK) calculator, an end of lease checklist and a new journey logging function to make life increasingly easy for company drivers.

“We are delighted with this new upgrade,” said Andy Reed, director of the Grosvenor Group, “and as we continue to develop our App in-house, we do so in order to make life as simple as possible for drivers of vehicles funded and managed by Grosvenor Leasing and Interactive Fleet Management. 

“The BIK calculator not only enables drivers to quickly check their tax position, it also allows them to forecast their tax levels across any of the years ahead that the HMRC has published rates for. This is a great tool for choosing new vehicles, particularly as some drivers are deciding whether to move to electric cars and are keen to see how much better off they will be in an alternative fuelled vehicle. 

“The end of lease checklist is designed to save customers money on end of contract charges by prompting the driver to remember to include items within the vehicle that are often forgotten when returning a lease vehicle, such as spare keys, locking wheel keys and parcel shelves, as well as what to check on the vehicle (such as legal tyres).

“We also have an in-life ‘Vehicle Care’ area which provides guidance on what drivers should be checking on their vehicle regularly (e.g. lights, oil, water, tyres etc) and how to measure the tread depth of a tyre.

“Finally, the journey logging tool allows the driver to track their business journeys by activating the function (and deactivating at the end of the journey). These journeys can then be labelled/named and exported into a formatted workbook to assist with their business mileage claims.”
